The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District is accepting applications for a Payroll/Benefits Specialist for the 2024-2025 school year starting on July 1st. The payroll/benefits specialist prepares the CERSD payroll and performs various other accounting functions for the fiscal department. The person in this position performs payroll functions and duties in support of HR and payroll department including employee timesheets, absence reporting, retirement and other employee benefits; correspond, interact, and provide support to employees in all buildings; maintain records and other business office related duties as assigned.


Required Education and Experience 1. Experience with budgeting and fiscal procedures and methods 2. Experience with computerized payroll systems Preferred/Desired Education and Experience 1. Experience with School District payroll processing 2. Accounting Degree or college level courses in accounting 3. Governmental accounting experience 4. High level of computer proficiency; in particular Excel and WSIPC enhanced educational software 5. Familiar with Skyward, Frontline, EDS, Microsoft, Google platforms and other school district software systems

Required Skill, Knowledge and/or Abilities 1. Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, computer equipment, and relational database software 2. Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
