Williamsburg Community Chapel seeks Early Childhood Caregivers for 2019-2020 school year. Part Time, 12 hours or less/week.
Early Childhood Caregivers are part of a team that serves children ages birth-five years and their families. They are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and caring learning environment and for working with other Caregivers to implement daily age-appropriate activities for the children in their assigned classroom in accordance with the Chapel's curriculum and philosophy. Caregivers work late August-late May/early June and have summers off.
Qualifications
You must have a personal faith in Jesus, an enthusiastic attitude, and a personal call to work with young children. The successful candidate will have proven experience caring for young children; prior experience in a preschool or comparable childcare setting is desired. You must have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to relate well to children and adults.
Additional information
This is a part-time position averaging 12 hours or less per week during the school year (September to early June). Our programs follow the WJCC school system schedule and occur on Tuesday-Thursday mornings, Tuesday evenings, and/or occasional evening and weekend hours. Children of Caregivers ages 6 weeks-pre-K can participate in our Early Childhood programs while their mothers work, dependent on space in the program.
