Is currently recruiting for Assistant Dean of Student Administration.
This position is a critical and vital member of the Arkansas Site Dean’s Senior Management Team. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Lead, implement, and manage the policies and processes related to the Student Administration areas at the Arkansas location including the departments of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Career Development, Pipeline Programs and Student Life and provide direct on-site supervision of department staff.
- Deputy Title IX designee for site implementation, training and investigations.
- Coordinate the implementation of the Admissions and Financial Aid policies and procedures with the Central Processing area leaders located in Old Westbury, NY: Director of Admissions, Director of Financial Aid and the Assistant Dean of Student Services.
- Develop and coordinate college outreach and academic preparation programs to serve as a pipeline for student engagement and enrollment.
- Lead, implement and manage the post-baccalaureate program to prepare first year student doctors for success.
- Manage the multi-faceted Wellness Programs, including assuring student’s access to physical and mental health services.
- Develop and coordinate all college events including, but not limited to, Orientation, Enrollment Services days, White Coat Ceremony, and Graduation/Hooding Ceremony.
- Serve as a member of the NYIT COM Admissions Committee, Enrollment Services Committee, Student Progress Committee and Behavioral Intervention Team coordinating the online meetings at the Arkansas location.
The preferred candidate should possess the following Qualifications/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Master's Degree
- Student Administration related certification, i.e., Title IX Investigator
- 5-7 years experience in higher education student services administration
- Proven Ability to work effectively with a diverse community of students, alumni and staff
- Excellent Communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience in developing and managing budgets
- Excellent computer skills
