Primary Function: Enhance the safety and educational potential of students by carrying out necessary nursing procedures and interventions within the scope of practice for an RN in the school setting and as indicated by students’ health plans and the school district’s policies and procedures. Provide support to and work in partnership with the District Staff. Understand and abide by Kittitas School District Policy, RCW/WAC related to student and school health, Travel to and from various district sites to provide nursing services based on changes in student health conditions and in response to district Health Services staffing requirements. Other Functions and Responsibilities: Meet the needs of changes in student health conditions and Health Services staffing levels. Identifying and assessing students with health conditions. Assist with the development and delivery of health care plan(s) for medically fragile students. Collect and contribute information for the creation and update of student care plans.

Minimum Qualifications: Current WA RN license Current WA Driver’s license/vehicle insurance Understanding of Nurse Practice Act. Competence in general nursing practice School district, public health, and community health experience preferred.
