The position is responsible to plan, coordinate and supervise diversified recreational programs, events and activities for adults. Work includes responsibility of the senior services transportation program. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Facility Coordinator. High School Diploma/GED. Ability to work flexible hours to include day, evening, and weekend shifts. Ability to operate a variety of common office equipment including computer, copier, camera ID system, cash register. Ability to operate and execute basic custodial equipment and duties. Fingerprinting required and must possess or obtain CPR and First Aid Certification to include AED within 6 months of hire.
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field and/or three (3) or more years experience in the development and delivery of recreational or leisure services programs, preferably in the area of services and programs for adults and seniors. Must possess and maintain a valid CDL Florida driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Must obtain first aid and CPR certifications within six (6) months of hire. Must have computer skills including spreadsheets and publishing/page design. The ability to work a flexible schedule including morning, evening, and weekend events as required.
Strong customer service and communication skills desired.
